O-Day Random Memories

I think one of the most vulnerable moments in lives has to be when one is exposed on the stone-cold metallic operating table, having no control of the subsequent procedures to dissect your body.

Prior to being transferred on to the operating table, I laid on the trolley bed, nervously waiting for my drip to be administered to my wrist. The anaesthesist murmured warnings of pain and burning sensations as the potion from the clear plastic bottle flowed into my veins.

Ouch, I thought. Okay, girl, relax now and appreciate the music.

The radio/CD was playing in the background and I was suddenly very aware of the lyrics. It was Leona Lewis' bleeding love. And all my ears could hear was the chorus that goes -

You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love
You cut me open...

Wah lao, I thought silently to myself. Is this the surgeon's idea of a joke? Can I complain a not?

I ♡ m-o!

WALL.E marks the second movie I have watched in 2008 and probably the movie I most enjoyed. And my favorite character is . . .

M-O (Microbe Obliterator)!

I think M-O reminds me of Sandy. :D

Anyhoo, I completed The Time Traveller's Wife last night and it had me tearing in my pillow. It was one of the most fascinating love story I have read and really, I am not quite a fan of love stories.

Long Overdue

Greetings, Earthlings.

I have been sucked away into a galaxy of work where the afterhours leave me barely with time to spent with my loved thingamajigs (including my bed). Anyhow, if you like, here is another blog that is updated more regularly, albeit more cryptically.

Now, work talk alert: Since I work in the field of technology, research and development, yada yada, I sometimes get exposed to extremely interesting technologies. As a matter of fact, I think Israelis are a bunch of very intelligent scientists with technologies that are one of the best in the world. This may not exactly be in my field of IT... but it is pretty darn cool.

I am also currently very caught up in reading an enthralling novel called "The Time Traveller's Wife". I think it is an awesome feeling when you chanced upon a book in the library having no expectations whatsoever, and it turns out to provide the most entertaining read ever, making me forego my beloved sleeping hours to turn the pages endlessly. Now, I think I have over 3-4 chapters left and I am simply devastated.

Wah, my first overdue post is about work and a book. I am a supergeek.
