A Snap of my Fingertips

A holler to all concerned friends of Mister Toto!

He is doing better already, after the very frantic Saturday. Now, he is barking even more loudly and fiestily than I could bargain for. I think he is making up for the one week where he missed out on harassing me with his leaps and attempts to lick my ears. Well, I ain't complaining. 'Tis wonderful to regain that energy-boundless border collie that I love to bits!

Saturday was spent ferrying Mister Toto to and fro different vets because his drip stopped working when we brought him home. Now, he is still on heavy medication but since he is eating normally again, the drip is off! Goody news.

I'm off for a really hectic work trip next week! I'm half hoping the authorities might fault with my passport at the Singapore Airport so I can dramatically protest, but secretly overjoyed at the prospect of not participating in the amazingly tiresome work trip that spans across the United States. Sigh.

On other culinary news, I cooked pasta from scratch for the first time of my life yesterday! (Cheese and macaroni don't count!) Well, I think my Aglio Olio is not too bad, considering it to be a maiden attempt. I did everything on approximation, few pinches of garlic, onion, chili, parmesan cheese and olive oil. Do pre-cook the mushrooms with oyster sauce. Boil your Linguine till al dente and mix them all up. Wala! Aglio Olio!

Burps.

My Heart Stopped

Toto has been losing appetite for the past week. The vet examined him this morning and the prognosis was not good. He is currently hospitalized.

My heart stopped and I couldn't stop the tears from emerging as the vet narrated her examination results.

I am going to visit him again in a while.

It will be okay, Mister Toto.

Evanescence

I managed to sneak a peek at the papers today.

Pierre-André Salim DRA ’09 dies while setting up for production

Pierre-André was one of my team mates working together on one of the gazillion projects in my varsity days. I don't remember much of him, but now he is gone.

Do you sometimes feel insignficant?

Psst..!

It's Friday finally!

I know I have been neglecting my blog very much. I would like to shout out a HI! to any surviving readers. I have been so, so busy with work. Nevertheless, the people at my company still managed to pluck out time to run for a good cause at the Frost and Sullivan Charity event.

We managed to come in 11th out of 30 teams, despite our team being comprised of one female and 3 old men (as they would prefer to be known)!

The aftermath...

We survived!
