Remember this tacky song in the 1990's by a group called Venga Boys? I used to think they were singing "Whoah, We're going to EAT PIZZA!"
But pizza aside, Ibiza is a spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea and its official Catalan name is known as Eivissa. It is a popular tourist spot among the Europeans and is especially notable (or notorious) for its summer club parties.
I agreed to tag along with Reb and her friends because I was keen to see the beaches on the Mediterranean Sea.
Behold! The blue, blue Mediterranean.
On the first morning I was there, Kerry mentioned I was the most dressed person on the beach. Almost 80% of the ladies on the beach were gloriously tanned with their luscious boobs hanging all out. The sunshine was as hot as it can be in Singapore, yet all these people are just sprawling themselves out, buttering on the suntan lotion and grilling themselves away.
I get tanned even when I stay under the shade! WTH.
Hello..... Ibiza!
My feet says hello to the warm, warm sand.
It's good to be doing nothing at all after a late night. When I first arrived at about 1am the morning before, I was dragged off to explore the clubs in the neighbourhood. Reb got too zealous in her vacation start-off drinks, downing off shots of vodka and the lethal foul-looking Absinthe. She subsequently lost her memory of the night. At one point, she woke up from her sleep at 5am and walked out of the front door with Ian and Frank looking on incredulously. Ian recovered quickly enough and ran after her.
Ian: Where do you think you are going?
Reb: I need to pee.
Ian: The toilet is back in our room?!
Yup, this is what Absinthe does to you. Wipes off all memory. You've been warned, kids!
Mummy says "Girl. Die lah. You look like a dark little Indian girl.
The next night, we wandered to the town of San Antonio. We had wonderful tapas and sangria in a spanish restaurant recommended by a local.
Not bad at all. Dinner ended at around midnight.
Next day, we were off to Formentera, one of the two Pine Islands or Pityuses.
Trekking across the sandy beaches to catch the ferry..
The island is reachable by ship from Ibiza and it is famous for its many pristine beaches.
Ahoy! All aboard!
And we're off!
Hello, Formentera!
After exploring the town of Formentera, we headed for the beach.
The waters were so clear, I could see right through to my toes. It resembles the water you find in swimming pool. I almost thought I was frolicking in a swimming pool until a wave licked up to me and the taste of salt reminded me that this is actually seawater.
One of the prettiest beach I've ever seen
And I must add that prettiest included the WOAH! factor of the people suntanning on the beach. They're all supermodel-like with huge boobies. Gees.
Amazingly, after a long day in Formentera, we proceeded to Amnesia to watch Underworld.
I have not a single clue who Underworld is but I hopped along with the energetic crowd from 12 till past 4 in the morning. My legs were giving way then, but the clubs here don't close till 6!
It was no wonder we all woke up way past noon the next day. Kerry and I decided to head to the beach at Playa d'en Bossa once more.
Iced cold coke never tasted so good
The last night was spent exploring Space, which was awarded Best Global Club at the International Dance Music Awards in 2005 and again in 2006.
With that, I left for London the next morning - more sun-toasted than ever.

hmm, that's a good question. maybe the skies in SG are blue too just that its too sunny we don't really look up?
okies, i found out why...too many clouds...that's why most of the time it's WHITE!!
